Lutchinha & Cruzamente

Cape Verdean born Maria “Lutchinha” Neves Leite has performed and recorded alongside other major Cape Verdean artists for over twenty years. Her latest release “Castanhinha” is teeming with strong vocals, fearless traditional grooves and a wonderfully rich Cape Verdean texture. She recently formed “Cruzamente”, a Boston based, five piece all female, all star backup band and the combination has proven to be a huge success. She is a consummate entertainer and her audiences cannot help but step to the dance floor to join her in celebration of this infectious music.
